Bell | Knott designed this 55,000-square-foot Safety & Training Facility to provide Kansas City Power & Light employees with a modern environment for education, collaboration, and workforce development. The facility brings together hands-on training areas, classrooms, offices, support spaces, and employee amenities within a cohesive, highly functional workplace.

Expansive glazing fills the interior with natural light, while warm wood finishes, comfortable gathering spaces, and contemporary materials create an environment that feels welcoming and professional. The design balances the practical needs of a utility training facility with an emphasis on employee experience, fostering collaboration and supporting ongoing learning. The project was designed with sustainability in mind and documented for LEED Certification.
